VISIT BY THE MINISTRY OF PUBLIC WORKS AND PUBLIC HOUSING (PUPR) SUBANG

PT Berkah Beton Sadaya Tbk received a visit from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) of the Subang Regional Government and the Sertifikan Laik Fungsi (Certification of Worthiness) Team to enforce a Certificate of Worthiness for buildings on Thursday, 18 February 2021.

The visit was received directly by Mr. Iyan Sopiyan, the Operations Director of PT Berkah Beton Sadaya Tbk. He mentioned that PT Berkah Beton Sadaya Tbk was still in the development stage and would require a follow up.

A Certificate of Worthiness (Sertifikat Laik Fungsi) is required after the completion of construction. The regional government may also impose periodical reporting requirements and conduct periodical inspections to monitor the facility/building being constructed.

Building Construction Worthiness Certificate or SLF is a certificate issued by the Regional Government for a building that is being used and has fulfilled the functional requirements based on the results of the inspection. The certification of the building is mandatory as documented in the Guidelines for a Certificate of worthiness (SLF)  which have been issued by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing. Through the Regulation of the Minister of Public Works of the Republic of Indonesia Number 25 / PRT / M / 2007 concerning Guidelines for Building Functionality Certificates, the objective is to become a reference for local governments, especially technical agencies for building management in determining operational policies.

"This guideline aims to create a building that is always reliable and meets the administrative and technical requirements of the building according to its function, as well as to create a building that is functional, in accordance with a building layout that is harmonious and in harmony with its environment. And the realization of legal certainty in the management of buildings”, taken from Article 2 paragraph 2 of Permen PU 25/2007.
