Article BBS - Construction is an activity carried out to build facilities or infrastructure. In general, construction activities are supervised by the project architect or project manager for the success of the construction being carried out. Apart from the successful completion of a project, another factor that is equally important is the safety factor of the workers.
Worker safety is number one in the context of creating a conducive and safe work environment in the construction sector by using the right safety equipment. Safety equipment is needed in the construction sector to avoid work accidents. For example, in a casting job, special shoes and safety helmets are required.
Types of safety equipment that are commonly used to avoid work accidents, PT Berkah Beton Sadaya Tbk implements K3 to carry out casting activities and others. Construction must have the following administrative equipment with K3 equipment in order to maintain the safety of workers.1. Completeness of K3 Administration

- Project registration is made to the local labor department.
- Notification of the project to the government and the local environment
- Registration and payment for insurance for workers.
- Description on heavy or light types of equipment that will be used from the agency.

- Fire hazard warning
- Head impact warning
- Landslide hazard warnings and others.
The safety plant involves several things, such as the project description, the main concern for K3 activities, the procedures for operating the equipment that will be used, the risk of accidents and how to prevent them, and the addresses of agencies such as the manpower ministry, fire department, and hospitals. Apart from paying attention to worker’s safety, construction must also be administratively complete, having a permit to construction of a building. It is also necessary to have a clear building ownership status along with the status of land rights or permission from the right holder to utilise the land concerned. K3 equipment and administrative permits for building construction are very important to be in place, in order to create a work area that is conducive and free from potential issues and problems..
