U-DITCH (Drainage)

Article BBS - U-Ditch is the name of a precast concrete product that is molded using high vibration molding process with iron and is manufactured by PT. Berkah Beton Sadaya. U-Ditch is commonly used for drainage and irrigation channels, and its physical form is as its name suggest, the letter “U”.

A term that is often used is the U-Ditch channel covers. The covers are available in two types, namely Heavy Duty and Light Duty. The two types of covers can be distinguished according to its thickness. For those of you who require a U-Ditch channel cover, you can choose a cover that suits your development requirements.

There are two types of connection namely Embedded Plate and But Joint or male female connection. Mortar is usually used to cover the cross-section of the U-Ditch channel. After draining water, you can prevent leaks in the U-Ditch by using Mortar to cover the joints.

U-Ditch drainage has been designed as a medium by the Indonesian National Standards agency for channeling drainage water. The U-Ditch drainage can also be applied in various fields of electrical conduit due to the shape of the U-Ditch.



Below are the qualifications that must be met by the U-Ditch channel based on the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) :

 -Being able to drain and also absorb rainwater into the ground with a large enough volume is a must for the U-Ditch channel. This is so as not to cause puddles above the ground surface.

 -The production process of U-Ditch itself must comply with SNI Standards and must not have defects on the surface of the product so that the product can work optimally

 -If performing a U-Ditch installation, do it on a stable ground level.
